Assistant Dairy Herd Manager
Description
Willsden Farm requires a Dairy Farm Assistant to work with the team of 6 full time staff. Willsden is 1 of 5 dairy platforms in the Camden Group operating in Centre Canterbury. The farm milks 1,090 cows through a 50 bale rotary shed with cup-removers. The farm has a centre pivot, 4 rotorainers, and K-Lines. The farms are located at Te Pirita, 60km SW of Chch and 15km from Rakaia.
Requirements
Seeking a motivated person, with the ability to work well in a team environment and have good communication skills.
- At least 2 years experience is necessary in all aspects of New Zealand dairy farming, including the ability to work with stock, run a dairy shed without assistance, move rotary boom irrigators, ride a 2 wheel motorbike and drive tractors.
- Tertiary education such as AgITO would be beneficial.
- Competitive salary, shared single accommodation, regular flexible rostered time off (11 on, 3 off), and time off for training.
- No pets.
- Must hold relevant visa/permit to work in NZ, and be available for an interview.
- Start date negotiable.
