About Us

Camden Group is a number of jointly owned limited liability companies that own and operate large-scale dairy farms on the Central Canterbury Plains, approximately 60 kilometres south of Christchurch (pop 373,000) on the East Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.

Camden Group comprises of three managed irrigated dairy units, two irrigated dairy support farms, and interests in three cow owning sharemilking businesses.

In total Camden Group farms approximately 6,000 cows on 2,270 hectares, employing 40 full time staff. It also owns part of a machinery syndicate that undertakes contract cultivation and drilling.

Camden Group dairy farms operate an intensive grazing system, producing milk from pasture. This pasture-based system is unique to New Zealand. New Zealand dairy farmers lead the world in their skill at managing the intensive grazing of pasture with livestock.
